I believe that yoga can change the world - one heart at a time.

Yoga can bring strength, flexibility and balance to your body, as well as enhance your immune system. More importantly, yoga empowers you - mind, body and spirit - to take responsibility for your health and control of your destiny!

Yoga is not the only path, but it has been an important part of my journey since I was 19! I have had a wonderful life of adventure and travel. I was a paramedic on the Chicago Fire Department and earned a Ph.D. in Physiological Psychology from UIC. I traveled around the world, studying Tai Chi in Thailand, Tibetan medicine in Nepal and acupressure massage in Malaysia. I became a certified yoga instructor in 2001 and am so happy to have found my niche. My yoga classes are a blend of Kripalu and Iyengar disciplines; breathing into postures, focusing on alignment, and pausing to receive the benefits.

I continue to study and teach aspects of the mind/body/spirit relationship and am passionate about sharing my experience with yoga students and teachers. I am in awe of the human body and consider it a blessing to be able to teach anatomy and physiology to yoga teachers in training.
